Hello everyone. I live in the city but my heart is truly on the farm which is where I hope to be when I retire. My dream is to have a few acres and have a big garden and some fruit trees and raise goats and chickens. Right now, I do the best I can on my tiny plot of land in the city. I hope to get to know all of you and to learn from all of you. And boy, do I have alot to learn. I am so excited because I just signed up for the Sisterhood and received my number. Awesome. I can't wait for the package in the mail.

Hi Joanie,

Welcome to the Sisterhood!

One thing I love about being a Farmgirl... there is always more to learn! :-) You can teach us some things too, I promise!

Thank you so much for the welcome. Right now, I work in an office during the week so my time to do what I want is limited but I always start my day in my garden as my meditation to get ready for the day. Right now, I have alot of tomatoes and I always pick a cherry tomato or two and pop them in my mouth first thing. When I get home at the end of the day and after dinner is done and I can finally sit down, I work on my crochet which is very relaxing to me. Then the weekend comes and that's the best time of the week because I can be in my garden all day.

Hi Joanie! A big Texas welcome! Learning is what keeps us going in this life. And no one knows everything, that's why it's so great to have each other - there's always a sister who knows (and is willing to share) what we don't know yet. We all keep learning together.

Welcome to the Farm Joanie! Your dream sounds wonderful and I pray that when retirement comes, you will obtain it. Until then, I hope you continue to learn. I too am in a steady process of learning! I am so clueless ;)

Joanie, a big welcome from another city girl. I went the other direction. I went from the farm to the city but my heart is on the farm. I hope your dream will someday come true.
