Hi Everyone!
I'm Rhi, mother of 2 littles, from rural northern CA. Husband and I moved into the sticks 6 years ago to enjoy some solitude and nature. We have some land, which is mostly wooded, that we are slowly turning into our little homestead. We have big dreams of abundant gardens and various livestock, but boy, does life get in the way of our plans.
Sewing and crocheting used to be my free time fillers but with a 2 year old and a 3 month old I haven't seen my crafting supplies in far too long. I also work part time and am just getting back into the swing of things after my maternity leave ended.
I spent some time poking around over the weekend before my registration was approved and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
Cheers!

Hi Rhi and Welcome!!!

I loved what you said about big dreams of abundant gardens. THE BEST DREAM EVER!!!! And before you know it, those two darling little ones will be old enough to be digging in your craft supplies!

Welcome from cool Minnesota Rhe. I wouldn't try to try to too many things now. Raising kids is a n important job. They will grow up too fast and you'll get to craft again. Just enjoy the moments. Glad to have you here.

Welcome to the farm, Rhi. Just think what wonderful life skills you will be teaching your littles and what great memories they will have of their growing-up times! Being a Farmgirl is a state of mind. It's not WHERE you live -- it's HOW you live. Glad you could join in.

Hello to you all! I'm also from CA but from the other end. I live and work in the city along the coast of Southern CA. My dream is to retire to a few acres in the country, maybe closer to Rhi, where I can raise goats (I toyed with the idea of having my login name be goatgirl but I decided against it) & chickens (my husband thinks I'm nuts) and also have a big garden with fruit trees. In the meantime, I do the best I can on my postage stamp size plot of land. I have alot to learn though so I hope you ladies won't mind teaching me a thing or two. I can't wait to get to know you all.

Welcome to the farm, Rhi! Your children are spaced about as far apart as my kids are. Of course, mine are in the 40's now! You'll find time for your dreams again!

Good morning Rhi and welcome to the farm! Life with two littles is definitely busy!!! Especially those ages :) But what a blessing! I'm sure you will find some time to get back to sewing and crocheting! I know personally I have to set a little time aside for me to do that kind of thing to keep my wits about me... I have multiple littles that I homeschool, so I need that sanity :) Looking forward to getting to know you better :)
