Hello from upstate NY. If you are thinking NY is a city, then upstate is the park, hows that? I am a mother of 8, I run a green B+B cottage that my husband and I built on our organic farm. We serve organic breakfasts in the cottage. We mostly have sheep on the farm, which we raise for their fiber. The children and I do a lot with the fiber, knitting, spinning, dolls, etc, which we sell at festivals. We also have horses and our farm hauling and plowing gets done with a horse named Angel. I went to school for graphic arts, and I'm about as far away from that as could be! My hands get dirty, but I'm still making art! We homeschool our children, and they are into 4-H big time. I started a farm girl chapter, my girlfriends are really excited about it. We are all very different, but our hearts are in common! Go visit my website!!! HELLO TO YOU ALL!!!

Jennifer, Welcome!!! Your life sounds just wonderful, I'd love to hear more!! And your quote is the best, I love The Big Red Barn, it was one of my daughters favorite stories when they were little. We have sheep too although they are meat breeds with a little romney thrown in. So glad you could join us and look forward to chatting with you more!

Welcome, Jennifer! I am in New York also...45 minutes north of Albany on the Vermont border. Don't know where Candor is, though!

Hi Jennifer,

I used to be a New Yorker (not the city) and live in Idaho now. Welcome to the forum. I love that you have a green B & B. Sounds wonderful. Where is Candor? I don't recall hearing the name of that town before.

Hello from another New Yorker, Jennifer! I live in Western NY... it's rural here too...except for the suburban SPRAWL!!! Your farm sounds wonderful! I am starting a 4H chapter here, I would love to hear what your kids do! I don't have any animals besides our dog, who doesn't know she is a dog! Have fun getting to know everyone, there are a great bunch of ladies here!
