Posted - Apr 09 2015 : 09:33:28 AM Hi Lori and welcome! It is great to hear that Home Ec is still offered in some states. In my area, it has been removed from the curriculum and it seems like such a shame. You will have to share some of our Farmgirl fun with your students. Maybe they would like to do some Farmerettes badges while doing some of your lesson areas? It might make for some fun extra credit too!!

Posted - Apr 06 2015 : 06:41:00 AM Welcome Lori. I took Home EC in 1957 ~~~ looking forward to hearing what is taught in the 21st century. I have a Home EC book from 1914. I find it very interesting how cooking and keeping a kitchen has changed over the years.
