I received my Farmgirl package in the mail today! I am so excited!

I have a small confession to make.....
I have been stalking MaryJane's books and magazines for a little over 2 years now, and I have just recently decided to join the Sisterhood. My ex-boyfriend, who has remained a best friend, bought me MaryJane's Outpost, followed by MaryJane's Stitching Room, a little over 2 years ago, and I have been secretly lurking ever since! Followed by a magazine subscription! LOL!
I am not a "tried and true" farmgirl, but the farmgirl attitude has it's roots deep in my heart. (I must get it from my mother, who was raised on a farm, until she married at 21 yrs old. The stories she tells of her brothers and sisters, singing in the barn while milking cows! By hand, no less!)
Anyway, a little about me. I am a single mom, have two children, one is leaving the nest soon, the second one is soon to follow. Which will hopefully give me more time to sew, read, and craft to my hearts' content.
I am so happy to be here, and FINALLY, be part of the crowd! Thank you MaryJane for opening the door to something truly beautiful to belong to!
Can't wait to learn from, and share with, you all!

Hi Ginny, I live about an hour from Eau Claire. We go there every other Sunday to buy groceries and shop! Would love to get together some time! I am new on Farmgirl Connection, too! Robin

That would be so cool! I would love to get to know more of my farmgirl sisterhood sisters! We will definately have to take photos of our meetings. I have been very curious for a while now if I am the only farmgirl here in my city. I'm sure I can't be. It's just a matter of finding them! LOL!

Hey Judith!

Actually, I do go to that! It's just a couple of miles from my house!
Unfortunately, I won't be in town on the 18th. But I could meet you guys on the 19th! That would be so totally awesome!

Hi, Virginia! Welcome! We have a few things in common too. I also have grown herbs for years. And, DH and I hope to go to Eau Claire April 18-19 to the annual gem show at the expo center. Do you go to that?
Farmgirl hugs!

Thank you all! (And MaryJane, too?! squeeeee!)
I do love herbs! I have been growing them on my deck for the last four years. Every year my daughter, (who will be 18 soon), and I grow a different kind of basil. We've grown at least 8 different kinds, and we are going to try one called, Dark Pearl, this year.
LOL, maybe I should be posting this in the other forum!
Thank you for the warm welcome, I can feel the hugs from here and can't wait to talk to you all some more!
