I just signed up and am looking forward to meeting new friends! I am a stay at home wife with a retired hubby. We moved to a 6 acre old farm last May a year ago and are fixing it up. We painted the barn last year and turned the carport into a garage and this Sept we replaced the siding and got it painted this weekend. We still have more to do on the house. We have 7 laying hens, 1 rooster, 6 baby chicks and 3 bee hives. We are taking classes on raising bees. And soon to taking a class on chickens to learn the ins and out of taking care of them. We are loving this life after living in town for a number of years.

Welcome to the Connection, Linda! Hope you stay awhile! We started our country life many years ago with a few chickens and bees. That was a lovely experience. Don't forget to check with you county Extension Service for info too.

Hi Linda, Welcome don't you just love Washington. We ( my hubby & our son ) move here from Calif. about 9 year ago and we are very happy with the move. I has started to rain again here in Vancouver today and I am glad. I had enough of our summer heat & humidity. I am looking forward to all the fall... making apple pie and pumpkin cookies. I am also getting ready sell my art at all the local holiday bazaar in November.

Welcome Linda, you are at the right place to get to know like minded women. I have learned a lot from them - they have a wealth of knowledge and all are willing to share with us that ask for help.
