Posted - Nov 11 2006 : 12:44:06 PM I am so excited to find this site and to find some like minded friends. Sometimes I feel like I am the only one I know who gets excited about rare breed animals, agricultural fairs, and walks in the country. I guess I just haven't been meeting the right ladies. So many women I meet are hung up spending money on the latest at the mall that I felt like an oddball. I grew up in rural Vermont, then lived in a big city in Fla. which was not for me at all. Now I am in Maine which I love and I am hoping to make some new friends and finally get to live the way I have always wanted. I am going to be a chapter leader and maybe I can meet some people in my own area and learn from everyone online as well. |

Posted - Nov 20 2006 : 2:07:51 PM Robin, thats too far away for my schedule right now...but if its on a day when I'm off, I'd love to. Kelly and I worked together in Bangor and I just recently moved away. But for this, I would come back. I gotta pick up my farmgirl certificate. Kelly, it looks like the 29th at this time that I'll be there. See ya then :)

Birdi, I'm not sure where Hartland is located. Are you any where near Bangor, and if so, would you like to get together with us on December 8?

Welcome Kelly. I grew up in Veazie and now live 90 minutes north. When I was a kid Tom Davis's cows were pastured where the Bangor Mall is now. There's a WAgN conference in Bangor on December 8-10. I'll be at the Ramada all weekend. I'm going to leave early and bum around with my new camera for the afternoon. Would you like to meet up for coffee on Friday, the 8th?
