Posted - Aug 29 2014 : 11:19:38 AM Hi. I'm fairly new to the sisterhood, so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Stephanie and I'm from a very small town in Illinois. My husband and I farm. We raise cattle and grow crops. I have 30 chickens and one very special old hen named Buffy. She thinks she's a dog! We also have a couple of dogs and seven brand new kittens. We have been blessed with six wonderful children ranging in age from 23-5! I enjoy reading, gardening, baking, knitting, crocheting, sewing and spending time with my family.

Posted - Aug 29 2014 : 4:38:32 PM Welcome, Stephanie! You sound like you will fit right in. I love how you describe the hen, Buffy, as thinking she's a dog. That's cute. I had a Rhode Island Red named Tabasco that would sit at my feet when I would sit outside and read. She was also known to hop in my lap for a nap.
