Posted - Jun 01 2014 : 9:22:38 PM when country passed away i had the memorial service which was 3 weeks after his passing to plan and put together. that was on april 27th , since then i have just tried to catch up on my sleep and rest from so many sleepless days and nights. then of course i had to apply and put together the paperwork for spousal benefits, from social security as well as from the veterans administration. i had no idea that the paperwork would take 6-8 weeks to just be sent to me...so unfortunately i am still trying to sort our my retirement income and set up the payments ....so at that point i will take a deep breathe and figure out what to do with the rest of my life. i have so many decisions to make and also a lot of things that i don't want to change and hope i wont have to......i never thought about merit badges to work on but that is a good idea and i will think about it....i already do a lot of those things anyway so it might be fun to do it in an organized manner. thanks for the suggestions Sharon. ande thanks to all that are trying to keep me in their prayers at this time.

I am so sorry for the loss of Country. I am praying for the Lord to wrap you in His arms and comfort you. I am also praying that He would give you peace in your heart and the strength that you need day to day.
Maybe you could work on merit badges to keep yourself busy. I wish we lived closer I would love to give you a big hug!

Posted - May 28 2014 : 12:40:08 PM thanks to all who have taken the time to post here. I am in a crazy phase where I want to stay up all nite and sleep all day....well I don't want to but it seems my body wants to. it means the world to me to see my familiar and new farmgirls here. Janice , marcy and sweet nancy jo...I realize how much I have missed you all. I tried a couple of times to make the journey back here, and I thought of yall a lot. country was sick for over 2 years but only was home with me giving him care since july. during his illness I relied on facebook to get the word out to friends and family about his journey.....now I am back with my other family and I feel so blessed that you are all here. missed you so much. there is nothing like a farmgirl family. love you all. and now to catch up on all of your doings. love, fran and country

Posted - May 25 2014 : 06:28:19 AM Hi Frannie, I missed this post. So sorry to hear about your Husband. I knew he was having health issues, but I also know you were there for him all the way. Kind of an empty feeling I'm sure. Hope we all can fill some of that up for you. Think of you often. Hugs Nancy Jo
