Posted - Mar 12 2014 : 5:43:57 PM Hello ladies!
I'm Lala, originally from the foothills of NE Georgia. I was raised in farm country most of my life.
I married my sailor in 2008, and the military moved us to Norfolk, Virginia. When he got out in 2012, we moved back to GA, and then gradually made our way to NC in search of work. He was without a job, and we were homeless for 2013. Now, we are happily settled in here in Hickory. DH found work here, and I'm running a handmade, home-based business on Etsy.
I'm very happy here in Hickory. It's allowing me to get back to my roots. We have five pets (cats and dogs can make up an urban farm, right?) and just started some seeds yesterday. I'm looking so forward to having my very own garden, and hope to count on some of you more experienced ladies for some much needed advice later in the planting / growing / harvesting season.
Any questions? Feel free to ask :) I'd love to get to know you all! |

Posted - Mar 17 2014 : 3:42:00 PM I am new to this also. I live in a country setting in Harmony, NC. I love to garden, stitch, knit on a loom, many other crafts and canning. It is just me and my husband, since my daughter got married last April and my son moved out. I just made a wreath out of paper for spring. I would love to talk to others who enjoy these things. So hello everyone.
