I don't physically live on a farm but I think my soul does. Ha. I joined the Book Of The Month Club and ordered Mary Jane's book as one of my selections and am I glad I did.

When I opened the box, it was right on top. I loved the cover and the way the book felt in my hands. That is important you know. Anyway, I read it almost from cover to cover the first day. Now I am going back and really enjoying.

I became disabled after working for 36 years but I think that was God's way of saying to slow down and enjoy life. So I am trying to do just that. I am not married and don't have children, but I do have two cats, Maya and Max that keep me company. I love to garden and feel my hands in the dirt. My home is decorated country and I am a country cook also. Like I said, a country girl at heart.

SO I am glad to have found this website and look forward to chatting with you in the future.

Bless this garden,
Patsy

Hi Patsy,

Welcome to the forum. The book is great and so are all the people here at the forum and at the farm.

Welcome, Patsy. I understand about the way books 'feel' when you hold them. And I have cats, too(way too many - six in all!). It's great to have you here. :)

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. As I reread MaryJane's book, I feel closer and closer to the farm way of life. I have always wanted to live on a farm and God willing, some day I just might do that.

Welcome Patsy! I found MaryJane's book the same way you did, and felt the same way when I read it! Like "Ahh...this is where I belong!"
Enjoy!

Welcome Patsy!! We are so glad you found us. Your cats sound great, I love their names. This place is very addictive, I was unable to "chat" last week and I really missed all my friends. These farmgirls are the best. Patsy is a good farmgirl sounding name, I can already tell you'll fit right in. There are a lot of gals here who don't actually live on a farm. It's more a state of mind and way of life than anything else.

Welcome Patsy--you sound like a country gal just like the rest of us. Isn't Mary Jane's book great? Have you seen her magazines? You'll love 'em.

Life may not be the party we hoped for..but while we are here we might as well dance!
