We had a small gathering last night for Haystacks (like tacso except on a bed of corn chips instead of tortilla). Then in for the Light Parade in our small town. Today we will be having the official dinner and afternoon of games and watching TV. Looking forward to it.

We were at my in-laws, who are also our next door neighbors. We were 24 for dinner and that was about 2/3's of what we normally have. It's so fun to have everyone together. Everyone one helps prepare our Holiday Room and food so we share the labors of the day. Grace and love shared by all.

No on has a big enough house for 90+ people, so we use the kitchen and gymnasium at the local Christian academy. We set up the food buffet style and everyone brings their own plates, silverware and beverages. Sam's family is great, and we all have a wonderful time. The kids have plenty of room to run and play in one end of the gym and we set up long tables and folding chairs in the other end. It is actually quite simple, because each one of us only has to cook one item to bring. The older children serve desserts on paper plates coming to each table with a rolling cart and asking which dessert we would like - they have a blast doing it.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day!

There's 8 of here! Turkey's in and all but one dish is made. I like to do a lot ahead of time so I can enjoy my family and guests.

We are also having a smaller group of only 4-5 for lunch today. It will be my parents, Paul and I. Maybe one of Paul's son's too. We are eating at my parent's house but I am baking pies and cooking the turkey at home and taking them over there because my mom's oven isn't working and the repairman wasn't able to fix it before the holiday. Fortunately I only live a mile away so it won't be so bad at all.

I wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Cheers! ~ Marilyn

I will be going to visit my in laws and there are many. My husband estimates there may be a dozen. The nice thing about going to another family's house is that they will not tell embarrassing stories about my childhood.
