Hi everyone,
I am PlumJoy and have recently just found you. I am 55, widowed, mother of 3, grandmother of 7. I am an artist (oil and acrylic) painter and an absolute crafts nut!
I have been disabled for 6 years and find myself with the time to do all of the arts and crafts things that I've always wanted to try. I am just loving it.
I am happy to be a member now and look forward to making new friends.
Thank you all.

Hi Joy and welcome to MJF's. It's very nice to meet you and I hope you'll enjoy all of the fascinating ideas and crafts you'll find here and the wonderful ladies who are so talented. I'm 56 and hope you'll come meet the great gals on the 50's and over board.
Enjoy!

I was born in Tulare while my family was picking cotton one hot autumn day. I don't know if any of you have picked cotton? We were farmers all of my life and sure miss it now. I do have the farmgirl alarm clock still waking me at 5:00 AM.

Thank you all for the great welcome. I have been reading and reading the different things that you have all written and gosh, you all sound like great gals. Glad to be here.

My friend sent me this card: I'm old enough now to tell you my secrets, because I know that you won't remember them either.
