Does anyone of us go a day without thinking about it??? I CANNOT wait to see it! The magalog is beautiful...as always! Are any of you getting to go to any of the book signings. I want to know who to be jealous of so fess up!!!

Winding down another year of homeschooling, gardening, remodeling, soap business, seeing to my mom...I am a busy woman! But I have got to at least take a few minutes each day to check in here. What wonderful people are a part of this place! I need to reconnect

Thanks jpbluesky. I had seen the bubble for buying the book, which I did, but hadn't noticed the tour link. No Portland huh? Bummer! Maybe one of these days I will head over to see the farm for myself and ask her to sign it then! I am excited to get my book though!

Dear Teresa, using the address above, you will see a bubble near the photo of MJF. It mentions the book tour. Click on it and you should see the info you are looking for. Make sure you click just on the tiny note about the tour and not the whole bubble, or else it will take you to the buying of the book! Which is good, but not what you are looking for.

Dear Kim - I think it said June 5 for the signing at Oak Park, Ill. You lucky girl! Wish I was going to be in Rockford at that time visiting my family!

Can someone point me in the direction of where the book signings are going to be? I have searched around and don't see anything. :-( Thanks!

I hope to go to MJ's booksigning. CindyLou e-mail and said there is one about 45 minutes away from me.

Welcome back Susan! We missed you! Sounds like you have been very busy... Would love to hear more about all your projects! Spring and summer are incredibly busy aren't they. These blessed days seem to fly by! Today I am planting my corn and beans and tomatoes finally! DH disked a spot that was a former horse corral so it should be fertile. Sweet corn dripping with herb butter in August is heaven! I have a Dexter heifer due to calve any day, but it will probably be the week of the full moon. Hope she does not have a bull this time. I need more heifers in my little herd!

Awe dang it,
I just looked at the book signing tour and found that the weekend we will be in the spokane area she will be in VT. We have booked a stay at one of her huts for the weekend of the 4th of june while we are in the area for My husbands school reunion and now I think we will not even get to meet her in person. I am bummed! Still I am excited to get to go see the farm and meet all of the other lovely people I have been corresponding with. I am getting anxious for my copy of the book to come. I pre ordered a signed copy of the book. Maybe she will be near here in seattle soon at a signing. Eileen

Welcome back from me too! My first two batches of goat milk soap are now about gone as I have been introducing my friends to it and now I have orders for more coming in. It is fun and gratifying to find friends who value what I am trying to do.
Spring is so much fun!
I also produced a line of natural all organic human grade ingredient dog and cat treats for the people I do contract work with and it has been a successful addition to their new dog and cat skin care treatment line so I have been busy baking as fast as I can!
Then I got a request from my daughter to try and come up with a teething biscuit for her son that did not contain wheat, or refined sugars or other non necessary ingredients that could produce allergic reactions. I worked on it yesterday and I think I have come up with a winner. We will see after seren gives it the old taste test.
My garden is keeping me very busy as well and so have my baby chickens. They are three weeks old today. I can't stop looking at them, they are so cute and fascinating.
Have a happy day,
Eileen

Welcome back, Soapmaven! Now you can spend bunches of fun time reading the posts that happened while you were away for awhile. We just keep getting better and better!

When I read the postings about all of you gals who make soap, I am in awe. I have never done it. The other day, I was watching PBS and a fellow was making soap and showing everyone how to do it. It looks messy, dangerous, and time consuming. I really admire anyone who would enjoy doing this! If it was the old days, I would probably just be a little smelly! Wash in the creek only sort of thing!

Welcome back Susan! It's good to see you.

My semester ends tomorrow. I love college but I'm ready for a break. I have a new editing job. The garden started earlier than ever this year. I made two batches of soap two weeks ago and am so far behind I need you to come help me catch up! Other than that, it's been quiet around here. I'm looking forward to a few days of farm work before a night in the city Friday. After that, I'm tackling the To Do list before it gets any longer.
