Hi everyone! I have just joined and have just received my registration and have also joined a chapter. I was raised in Montana and move to Washington in my late teens, but Montana will always be my home. I have three grown children and four grandchildren and one more on the way.
I'm learning to quilt! Have joined a local guild and have meet some really nice people. There are other things I am also learning. I have been in a Woman Primitive group for the past six years now. Love going back to the 1840's, we do everything they did back then. I'm learning all kinds of new things from learning how to make a Native American drum to playing a flute. Cooking in a Dutch oven and learning to can for the first time and getting ready to make bread.

Welcome Donna! I hope you can find time to post some pictures of your Woman Primitive Group and share some of your recipes that you make too! You'll find many a kindred spirit here to laugh, share, and learn from.

Hello! I also love to use my dutch oven! Of course, the only thing I have made yet is dump cake! But this seems like the place to be to learn new skills!

Donna,

Welcome to Farmgirls! I am also part of a Primitive group. We re-enact the Rendezvous of the Mountain Men. My name is Crooked Foot. We strive to live by the principles of the Mountain Man, which is mainly "Keep It Simple". I hope you enjoy Farmgirls. You certainly will find alot of great people here.

Women are angels. When someone breaks our wings, we just jump on our broomsticks and fly! We are flexible that way!

Hi Donna and welcome to the farm! Your life sounds like such fun! Your primitive group really makes you wonder at the strength of the women back in that period I'll bet. They must have been simply amazing women! I don't think our country would have made it if not for those kinds of brave and strong souls. I know you'll love this site. So many wonderful gals here and very willing to share their talents and knowledge.
Enjoy!
Cheryl
