Hello everyone! I'm posting here because while I have been a member for two years, I stopped joining the forum after my father became ill. Its been a long journey and he lost his battle with cancer, but he is in a better place. It is great to be back surrounded by you amazing ladies!

I relocated from NC to Kansas (thank you Army!) in April and finally settling down. Look forward to reading and participating more in the future!

Welcome back, Maria!
I certainly understand the journey of caring for a parent with cancer . . . with my mom!
Glad you're able to join us again!
Enjoy!

Welcome Maria! I have learned so much from the sisterhood. Best to you in Army life. I am an army spouse and my husband spent 39.5 years in the Army. It was a wonderful experience for us. Now that we are retired I miss all the activities on post, especially the amazing July 4th Fireworks shows at Ft. Lee, Virginia. We use to watch the show, then drive home in huge thunderstorms and pouring rain. The storms would wait until after the fireworks, most likely the dew point needed to raise just a bit. Best to you now and enjoy MJF Farmgirls.

Welcome back Maria. Sorry to hear about your father, but you do know that he is in a better place and out of pain. Looking forward to getting to know you.
