Hi Ladies,

Thought I'd write alittle bit about myself. I live in the Soquel fool hills 3 miles from the ocean. I have an organic veg. garden and green house, 8 chickens that all have names and a little white Westie dog named Hattie McDuff that goe's everywhere with me. My husband and I are Oma and Opa to 4 little grandchildren and I take care of them often. I love to sew, paint, make bird houses and bake, love the holidays and so love to fish! I enjoy glamping and am always looking for friends to go with. We live on a creek and in the Winter months thru Spring I can catch Stillhead. I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and sharing lifes blessings.

Blessings,

Rebecca

Am I right in guessing that you have Dutch or German heritage in your family? On my mom's side, we called her parents "Opa" and "Opoe", Dutch for grandma and grandpa, and my nieces and nephews called my parents Oma and Opa. So sweet to see someone else using those terms of endearment.

I enjoy a lot of the same things you do, and am looking for a used Teardrop camper so that I can add glamping to the list.

Welcome and Cheers!

Welcome, Rebecca.
You've found great place here. Sensible, caring, smart ladies with lots of talents and so good at sharing them. Check out the different boards, so much to learn and share!
I'm from Minnesota, retired, and have 3 grown kids and one grandson. We do a big garden and have lots of dwarf fruit trees and around 30 grapevines. We had rabbits and lots of kinds of poultry when the kids were here, but now we are down to 2 dogs (crazy Aussies), 2 cats, 2 love birds, 1 cockateil and 1 parakeet. I like sewing, baking, reading, and assorted crafts.
I love your plan for "sharing life's blessings". There are a couple of threads that especially fit that positive attitude. Try "Name 3" in the General Chat section and "One Thousand Gifts-Daily Gratitude" in Hogs and Quiches.
I think you'll love it here.
