Wow! Time flies when you're busy, that's for sure! Four months without much of a farmgirl fix is a really long time! Hopefully things are starting to slow down enough that I can actually come and hang out a bit more. (I'm on a 4-day weekend from school today.)

We moved into a new home and I'm busy trying to get things situated, but threw my back out last week helping take the trampoline apart at the old place, so it's slow going. We are no longer on our acre with the clothesline, but have moved into a subdivision. Though I will miss the space, I won't miss the mowing. Though I will miss the clothesline, I won't miss the manufactured home we lived in. Since the rainy season started in Florida, the place had a musty smell to it, which meant possible mold, and it wasn't a good thing for my son with allergies. Our new place has lots of space and a dishwasher, so I might actually have an organized place since I won't be washing dishes in my free time. (Which I usually have none...)

My husband is starting a new "day job" today, so he will be getting home by 2 or 3 daily. It will really free up a lot of time for us, plus works really well with his youth pastor position too.

I haven't done much "farmgirl-y" lately, except buy some mums for my mailbox planter. First couple of things on my list once I get settled....make my daughter and myself matching aprons, and make her a "colonial girl" outfit for Book Character Day at school and Halloween. Guess I'd better get on the seond one quickly!

It's good to be back, hopefully I can "play" more often. Now I need to go read up a bit!

Hi Katee! I am new here, but wanted to say hello! We bought our first house 2 years ago and I am still praising God for it! Hope to talk to you more in the future!

Good to see you here again, Katee! I hope you are having fun settling into your new home. Farmgirls at heart, remember? You'll surely make your own Farmgirl mark on your suburban residence.
