Posted - Jan 28 2013 : 7:02:01 PM Hello, I was born in Iowa and moved to CA with my family when I was 5 months old, but Iowa never left my soul. I have always loved gardens, animals, sewing and now watercolor painting. Thank you for this wonderful way to connect farmgirls and farmgirls-at-heart. I love the forums and communications we can all share. I just retired from City government and now am enjoying my mobile home in Hemet CA. I am looking for other farmgirls in the area. I know they are out there because this is farm and ranch country. |

Posted - Jan 28 2013 : 9:27:22 PM Oh so you are at the other end of California, How do you like it down there? I live up here by Eureka which is up in the Redwoods. I love it up here. Moderate weather most of the time and temperature also. and if you really want snow you just go about 1/2 hour or so and you can have your snow. I can see the ocean about 5 miles from here. Glad your on the farm. hugs darlene

Posted - Jan 28 2013 : 7:17:25 PM Hi Darlene, Hemet is in inland Southern CA in Riverside County. The elevation is 1500 feet so we get warmer and colder temps than most of So CA. It is desert-like and there are lots of horse ranches and farms here. Thank you for the welcome. Terri |
