Hello, I was born in Iowa and moved to CA with my family when I was 5 months old, but Iowa never left my soul. I have always loved gardens, animals, sewing and now watercolor painting. Thank you for this wonderful way to connect farmgirls and farmgirls-at-heart. I love the forums and communications we can all share. I just retired from City government and now am enjoying my mobile home in Hemet CA. I am looking for other farmgirls in the area. I know they are out there because this is farm and ranch country.

Welcome Terri, I was born in Iowa, but am a service brat, and moved shortly after birth. I don't remember it.Look forward to seeing you around.

Oh so you are at the other end of California, How do you like it down there? I live up here by Eureka which is up in the Redwoods. I love it up here. Moderate weather most of the time and temperature also. and if you really want snow you just go about 1/2 hour or so and you can have your snow.
I can see the ocean about 5 miles from here.
Glad your on the farm.

Hi Darlene,
Hemet is in inland Southern CA in Riverside County. The elevation is 1500 feet so we get warmer and colder temps than most of So CA. It is desert-like and there are lots of horse ranches and farms here.
Thank you for the welcome.
