Hi Farmgirls.

My name is Grace. I live in Springfield, Illinois. I joined the Farmgirl Connection around the holidays.

Although I have lived in 8 states and even Germany for a couple of years, I finally realized a few years ago that I am still a small-town Oklahoma girl at heart. After reading Jame's P. Owen's "Cowboy Values" and taking an interest in MaryJane's books and products and Ree Drummond's website, I knew it was really time to return to my roots. I decided to become a "FarmGirl at Heart" for a year.

I've already tried my hand at cast iron cooking (I knew how to cook in cast iron about 30 years ago) and I'm looking forward to my first "Glamping" trip in May. After that, who knows what adventures lie ahead? It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

I am trying to be the person my dogs think I am.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I visited your site and it's precious. What a creative idea to honor women. I look forward to reading about more 'sisters'.

Welcome, Grace! 8 states and Germany?! I bet you have lots of stories you could share. Do tell.

After making wonderful friends here, I hope you decide to be a 'farmgirl' for longer than a year. :)
