Posted - Oct 11 2006 : 4:15:29 PM Hi Im Lynn,I live on a very peaceful tiny 3 acre wannabe farm, right next to the Oconee National forest. I raise tiny bantams, BB's,Cochins, Blacktail Japanese, and until today silver Phoenix. My Husband and I are retired and are trying to become self sufficient. We garden and raise our birds for eggs and to sell! We are both artist craftsmen in many mediums. Im new to computer chats so It will take me a little while to adjust to this wonderful site, that I found just today because I bought a Mary Janes Farm Magazine ( I had never seen one before)and fellin love with it! So Hi, Im so happy to be here! |

Posted - Oct 13 2006 : 08:34:33 AM Hi Grace and everyone! I have posted before on other sites but I need to orient myself to see how you all work things here! So far, I feel at home so away I go!! Grace my Husband and I work in almost every medium as far as painting, acrylics watercolor , oil, chalk and pencil! We also do murals! I bead, jewelry and clothing(particularly Native American regalia),I knit, crochet, and sew! I dont believe there are too many crafts that I havent played or seriously dabbled in through the years( a lot of 'em)! My hubby does woodcarving and paints beautiful pictures of peoples old Homeplaces, then recreates the actual building in wood on top of the painting so the building(house, barn)looks 3-D. Really Cool! |

Posted - Oct 13 2006 : 07:57:21 AM Welcome Lynn,
Do not worry about your computer skills, if I can do this anyone can! We also had bantams for the longest time - Presently I have no chickens and it is killing me. My oldest son loved them and showed them in 4H for six years. There was not a second that I would not find him with one in his hand or in his shirt while he was doing the morning chores. Well, give those little ones a hug from us and look foreword to hearing more about your life. One quick question, what are your craftmen talents. I am very interested.
