As a child I lived for a time on an idyllic family farm in Oregon. I always wanted to go back. Finally, some 30ish years later I find my place on a family farm near Gladstone North Dakota known as White Raven Ranch. In finding myself here I can now expand and apply my knowledge and interest in: Beekeeping, mead-making, organic gardening/permaculture, sewing, quilting, knitting, crochet, herbs, spinning, wind & solar energy, canning, pie baking, doll making and so on. White Raven Ranch (find on Facebook)specializes in rare breed livestock and "heirloom" open pollenated produce. We share the space with Scottish Highland cattle, Percheron mares & a paint gelding, European black hogs, chickens, rabbits, a couple of dogs and a plethora of wildlife. Rare black belly sheep coming soon. We also "farm the wind" with verticle axis wind turbines (White Raven Research).

Wind Farmer & Seamstress.

Your mixed herd sounds amazing! What fun. I guess your story shows that home is just where you find yourself. Welcome to your new home here at MJF.

Welcome to North Dakota and to MJF. We don't have to many farmgirls in ND so I am happy to have a neighbor!!!
