Posted - Oct 01 2006 : 2:55:07 PM dear farmgirls, our farmgirls friends chapter just wanted to say hi to all of you. we are having a blast being farmgirls, and meet every week if possible! we all home school, and run our own businesses from our homes. i have a licensed bakery in my kitchen, and go to farmers markets in the area, there really is an organic revolution going up here! it is a perfect place to be a farmgirl. we are cutting squares of old denim to make projects this winter, and love nothing better than to sit and chew the "cud" with each other. we will keep in touch with all, have a happy fall, from becky, amy, and deb in vienna, maine! |

Posted - Oct 01 2006 : 8:04:21 PM That is so neat that you can get together so much. I would love to hear more about each of your families and your businesses. I bake alot and have done wedding cakes and pies in the past. I would be curious to hear how you do with that and if it is at all profitable. I mainly do cakes for my four kids birthdays and wedding cakes for close friends as gifts and pies & cookies for our builders (we are a subcontractor that grades yards and lays sod). My husband wants me to start a business but I just can't see even coming out even. I will anxiously be waiting to here your story.
