Posted - Aug 18 2012 : 08:37:54 AM Hey, all,
I just joined from Pittsburgh, PA. I have 12 acres of mostly tree-covered hills in the suburbs where we're raising 13 chickens. My daughter has been angling for a horse, but so far, I've managed to stall, since I work full-time and I'm a single mom.
I'm glad to be here and look forward to hearing from everyone. Laura |

Posted - Aug 22 2012 : 05:28:00 AM So glad to have you Laura! Horses are fun, but a bit of time. Our daughter was about that age when horse fever hit really hard, too. Now she is living 300 miles away and we are taking care of two horses... that are really a lot of fun.

Welcome to the farm!
What kind of chickens do you have? I have 3 New Hampshires; 1 very handsome rooster and 2 hens. I have a 13 yr old daughter who wants a horse too. I told her that she already has three younger brothers..LOL! They are ages 11, 5, and 3.
hope you enjoy your time with us!
