Posted - Jun 08 2012 : 7:10:26 PM Hi, My name is Laurie. I just joined the sisterhood & I am really looking forward to it all. I'm another of the 'over 50 girls'. I've been reading the magazines for about 6 months now & I really enjoy them. I had a small farm when my children were little, but ended up moving to the 'cities' some years later. I have always missed it. I've continued to do many of the things I did back then but kinda felt alone, so when I read the farmgirl sisterhood is not where we live, but how we live, I felt this may be just what I've been looking for! Thank you! |

Posted - Jul 09 2012 : 07:37:02 AM Hi Everyone again! It has been very busy around here the last couple weeks. I finished my Henrietta Badge and put it on my favorite apron. I started making a few new aprons. I made one to give to my aunt who was visiting us from Alaska. She loved it! From the time I was a little girl I have always remembered her wearing her aprons. I think I got my love of aprons from her! |

Posted - Jun 09 2012 : 2:20:20 PM Welcome Laurie, You are definitely in the right place. We have all different size spreads here! From square feet to square miles and everything in between. I live in the Pacific NW and have loved being here for nine years. We have 28 acres, but there are a lot of city farmgirls who do more farm=y stuff than I! Hope you decide to pop in to the 50s for a visit. Marianne |
