Hi ladies,

This Montana farmgirl is probably getting to move to western Nebraska sometime this summer. Anyone have any information you can pass on about the area? I still have to sell my house and we have to do the not-so-fun job of packing our stuff and our little ones up and driving across a couple of states but when we get there I might I actually get my farm! We'll find a place to rent first while we look but I think it would be wonderful to find my farm finally. Oh, Scottsbluff area is where I will probably be headed. So if anyone has any tips, opinions, or advice for the area I would appreciate it.

In getting this place ready to move out of we decided we would get rid of the nasty linoleum in the breakfast nook. It has been an eye sore and a worry since we moved in. Hubby tore out the linoleum and two or three more layers to find rotted floor joists too. Ugh. What was going to be a quick do-it-yourself project has turned out to be too much right now. Calling in the experts tomorrow. For today and tonight we just have to live with some musty, moldy, stinky holes in the floor. *big ol' sigh* At least I get to go to work tomorrow while hubby deals with it.

So we'll head for Nebraska the first part of August. If anyone knows anything about Western Nebraska I'd love to hear it since at this point I'm going site un-seen. Also, if anyone has any good tips for moving with a 4 year old and an 18 month old I'd love to hear it. They are pretty mellow adaptable kids but moving is a big change for all of us.

Thanks for the well wishes. House officially went on the market today. Scary. I've never sold a house before so let's hope it is a smooth transaction. Especially since we only have a little under two months to sell. Eeek! At least the packing is well under way. :)
