I'm new here and find myself looking for some "sunshine" in my day! Being a "transplanted farm-gal" I look forward to the coming days of Spring when I can make a stroll out around the house and lawn to look for all those budding signs of life and time to say a few prayers of Thanksgiving and Hope! Was always told..... farmer always has had to say alot of prayers to survive....his cathedral surrounds his tilled soil and his Blessings are the fruits of harvest!

Hello Marianne, I have always wanted to vist WA. I will be 50 in September and I also love to garden, sew and do crafts. I live on what I call a hobby farm...We have 26 freerange chickens ...which are spoiled and all have names, 3 Border Colles , only one Cat. My inlaws live at the bottom of our property and they have 6 goats and 6 sheep...but we take care of them so I consider them ours. I have a 45' by 45' garden this year....now that is going to be some work. I moved down to n 5 years ago from just utside of DC. I was a city girl ...I am proud to say not anymore!!!! I love the country life and would not trade it for anything. Talk to you soon. Carolee

Welcome Carolee! I know you're going to love it here. Tennessee is lovely. We were actually planning on retiring to the area around Johnson City, which isn't that far from you. But, our kids informed us we needed to move near one of them, so next week we are moving to Brown County, In. Our daughter and her family are in Indy and we're originally from the state anyway, so it's good. Glad you found Mary Jane.
