Since I have 'arrived' many have asked to to post on the welcome wagon.. so here goes !!! I am living in NJ , where except for 2 years and some annual vacations, I have lived my whole life. My husband and I recently bought 20 acres in the NW corner of the world in Sanders County MT, where we will be building and retiring in about 2 years. We are still young enough ( but when are you too old) to start a small farm, have horses, chickens and cows.. and I am looking for lots of help in any of those areas!! I am considering attending "Pay Dirt" next summer.. has anyone been yet ???

Regina, Howdy from one Jersey girl to another. There are a couple of us here on the site. Mt is great! I spent a summer there when I was in High School on an 11,000 acre ranch herding cattle with my best friend, it was the best!! These gals are full of wonderful info and can get you through anything, you'll love it here. I find I need to check in at least once a day to see what's going on with all my great friends!

Welcome Regina...
YES..Libbie did attend the Paydirt Farm School!! she loved it. I hope she will tell you more about her experience there!
Sunshine..it is an apprentice program Mary Jane does at her farm...written up in I think the "Art of the Egg" issue. Sounds like a wonderful way to learn the ins and outs of farming!!
It will be so fun to get to know you here!!
