Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 6:51:47 PM Hi everyone! My name is Emma and I live in a small rural town in Australia. I've been reading the posts and I love that everyone here is so positive and helpful! I hope to be a real "farmgirl" one day, when I marry and move out of home (I'm 22 but still live with my mother). Look forward to making some friends, getting some great ideas and maybe even giving some too! ![](icons/icon_smile.gif) |

Posted - Aug 25 2006 : 06:33:46 AM Hi Emma and welcome!! You don't have to have a farm right now to be a farmgirl--it's all in your attitude and way of thinking. You can just be a farmgirl at heart and that's ok. I didn't move to any kind of land until 6 months ago but it's always been what I've dreamed of and a way of life for me to live more simple. Glad you joined us, I look forward to getting to know you better! |

Posted - Aug 14 2006 : 9:37:39 PM Welcome Emma! I'm from Australia too, other side though, Albany in WA. Where is Applethorpe - I've never heard of it, but I have family living near Surfers and my mother-in-law used to live on a farm at the Glasshouse Mountains - that was a beautiful farm, but she had to sell. Looking forward to chatting with you - I'm still dreaming of my farm too, but we will get there one day!! You are right, that is what is so great here, the positive attitude! Best wishes and keep dreaming, Jayne |
