I recently saw an interview with Mary Jane on one of our local tv stations. I was delighted to hear that she had a website! I live in beautiful Western Washington and enjoy gardening, sewing and taking care of my "furry and feathered" children! Looking forward to learning from all of you! Rachel

Take the road less traveled and enjoy the view!

Welcome Rachel and Patricia It is so nice to have new farmgirls joining our group. I live in Texas and join the chat from time to time. I am living on 6.5 acres of country land--getting ready to "put in" 3.5 acres of coastal hay and about a half acre of giant sunflowers. I live here by myself with 12 dogs, 4 indoor cats and about 12 barn cats.

When I can afford more fencing, I intend to get some miniature animals such as donkeys, dexter cattle, and horses to share with city children who visit the library where I work.

Welcome Rachel and Patricia.

It sounds like you ladies get a lot of great programs down there. I would love to have seen MaryJane on TV and all those wilderness shows that I hear about. Some good things to be said about TV.

A big welcome from Wenatchee, Patricia! It's a very small world... I have family in Sedro Woolley!

Also a big welcome to Rachel in Washington. Which station did you see MJ on? I've watched the Idaho station bit from MJF website link, and that was nice. It's in the News section for those of you interested in linking. It's best with a high speed connection, but can be viewed with a dial up too, just a bit slower.

Have fun exploring the site and all the threads, girls... and chime right in. It's always fun too when an older topic is revived by a new post.

Welcome Patricia. One of my favorite sounds in the whole world is the whisper of pines when the wind blows through them. Do you have lots of trees on your place?

Love those big blue skies and wide open spaces.

Welcome Rachel!! I read on another thread that you have pygmy goats, so do I! Though not as long as you have. We've had our first doe, Daisy, since 1998. She had triplets in 2000. The herd has grown to 6 since then. I LOVE my pygmy goats!
Nice to have you here.

Welcome, Rachel! You wil be right at home here. We are from all around the US and Canada. And we all love the earth and animals and children and making things with our hands. Glad to have you.

Being in Florida, I have not seen MaryJane on TV. That would be great so see an interview. :(
