HI, I live in Alaska but am from Montana. I love the concept of living simply and doing as much as I can myself. I have three children ...all grown and scattered across the US. When they were little we had a little farm going in MT. Over the past few years, as they have moved out on their own I have felt very adrift, not quite sure what I was doing with my life. Connecting with other sister who love to garden, farm, and create from scratch I think will be very rewarding for me. I am currently teaching in central AK and hope to perminantly relocate to here as soon as I can sell my MT home. Until then I am living in a little rented cabin in the woods. I still hope to put in a garden next year and would love to have a few hens again. If there are any chapters in AK please let me know so I can connect in person. Thanks Dawn

Hi Dawn and welcome to the group! I haven't been here too long myself, but these ladies are marvelously amazing at making a girl feel welcome.

I did most of my growing up years in the little town of Chugiak. (Just north of Anchorage) I keep trying to get my hubby to move back to Alaska, but that just won't be happening so we're here just outside of Portland. Looking forward to getting to know you!

Hi, Dawn Welcome to MJFarms. Glad to have you aboard. That is my husbands dream vacation a trip to Alaska! I love to garden, create, and farm. Just had a new baby calf born. I love all the hard work on the farm. Keeps me feeling young!

Hi Dawn,
I know you'll find friendship on here. You can look into the Alaskan Chapters, or start your own.
I googled Tok, AK. We want pictures.
