I transplanted from the 'burbs, but I've always been a farmgirl at heart. Currently sitting here with garden-muddy feet, two 11 week old kitties purring on my lap and getting inspired by all I'm reading here.

Life is so good right now!

Hi Kimberly, Marianne and Jennifer! Thanks for the welcome! Kimberly, you said it, what a lovely group here.

@Marianne - Yeah, we're good at clearing snow here because we get an awful lot of practice. ;) I have a deep love for my snow blower!

@Jennifer - Funny, I spent time in YOUR neck of the woods. Lived in Colonie for about 3 years - followed a boy out there. His family lives in Middleburgh. That boy is now my wasband and here I am back in CNY. Such a small world...

Betty and Cate,
I spent two years in Liverpool, also. Loved it . . . miss the Hines white hot dogs!! They sure know how to clear snow in that part of the country!

Welcome Cate! And what a funny world, Betty that we ended up in WA!

Welcome from Washington Cate! This site is full of supportive women and is a great place to be. :)

Excuse the mess & the noise, my children are making happy memories

HI Cate-
We faired well today...lucky for us we dodged the bullet of Irene...not as much rain as expected with the storm so that helped alot. Winds not too bad- backyard looks a mess from so many downed leaves and small branches. A few Large branches down way in the back yard but luckily they missed the chicken coop so all is good here!
Thanks for you well wishes and welcome again!
Smiles,

~Laurie

Welcome Cate from Pasco, WA the heart of the mid-Columbia. I spent two years of my life in Liverpool, NY and except for the smothering humidity, loved it.
