Posted - Aug 09 2011 : 10:58:32 AM HI to Everybody! I am only hours old here and reading lots. I live in Reno, NV. I have a husband and a four year old boy and 1 year old girl. I am from Indiana and miss my corn fields, but could never leave the mountains. I am hoping to make a lot of friends here. I have been reading the MaryJane Mag for years and finally decided to check out this site. I loved reading about how a group of you went to visit the places of Laura Ingalls Wilder and helped out with a few projects. I would LOVE to do that sort of thing someday. I am reading those books to my four year old who is just captivated by her. I crave working in dirt and have planted way too many trees for my small Nevada space, but I can't help it..I am sure many of you understand that need! Anyhow, looking forward to meeting new people! |

Posted - Aug 12 2011 : 07:44:43 AM Hi Sarah, Welcome from a Florida farmgirl at heart! I know what you mean about loving to plant things. I too planted more trees than our little lot could manage. One happened to be over the septic tank field and after years the roots did their thing and we had to replace the field! Thank goodness my husband is a man of many talents so he did it himself! Hard work but saved us $$$$!
