Posted - Jul 16 2011 : 07:59:37 AM Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself, I live in Northeast PA and have enjoyed hobby farming for many years. I currently raise a few British White beef cows for our family beef, have a small raised bed garden and just put 17 baby bantam chicks in the chicken coop. My husband and son run our holstein dairy farm and we enjoy the country life! Next year I am seriously hoping to add sheep to our farm for meat and enjoyment. Glad to meet you all...look forward to making new friends!! |

Posted - Jul 20 2011 : 10:52:24 AM Greeting from sunny florida. I am new to the maryjanesfarm. I am 50 plus and embarking on a new life journey. My husband had a stroke, he now is in assistted living. This has left me to fend for myself. My choice to simplifie and scale down. I now own 6 acres, 2 horse's, 2 donkey's, 2 goats, and 14 new baby chicks, 3 dogs... I will be building a small house soon. As of now, I drive back & forth to my farm. My goal is to give women & children a safe landing place. We all need someone, & I have lots of love to share. I can't wait to get my membership package!!!! and to start earning my badges!!!! love & peace to you all my sisterhood friends.... patty |
