Posted - Jul 08 2011 : 05:45:59 AM Hey all!
I'm Alex from Oklahoma. I recently dicovered MJF at my nana's house. I loved the magazine so I wanted to give being on the forums a whirl. Eventually I will join the sisterhood. :)
My big farmgirl projects right now are knitting and organic healthy living. I'm in college and I wanna be a literature professor. Although I will never have a profession that is "farmy" I do love this lifestyle and wouldn't mind living in the country...maybe.
Hope to hear from you all. |

Posted - Jul 10 2011 : 08:46:16 AM Hello! I am another 20 something college farmgirl, but also a wife and mother. I've not joined the sisterhood yet, but I have really enjoyed reading and learning how to apply different farmgirl lessons to my already green lifestyle. Glad you found the forum!
why can't i be more conventional? people talk, people stare, so i try. but that can't be, because i can't see, my strange little world just go passing me by...so let people wonder... |

Posted - Jul 10 2011 : 07:26:05 AM You all are so friendly and amiable. I really enjoy the fact that everyone seems to want to help others and the antagonistic spirit usually demonstrated on anon. internet forums is missing.
So, do you guys recommend joining the sisterhood? Do you all enjoy it?

Posted - Jul 08 2011 : 5:41:23 PM Hi Alexa and Welcome from Long Island,NY! There are farmgals of all ages here and also in varying degrees- some who actually live on a farm, others who live in cities and others like myself somewhere in between on shy of an acre in suburbia- either way we are ALL farmgirls at heart! Smiles,
