Posted - Jun 30 2011 : 8:22:50 PM Hi girls. I've been reading posts for several days now and am so excited to know that I am not alone in the way I prefer to dress and how I want to live my life!. I was born in the S.F. Bay Area and now live on 2 1/2 acres outside of Carson City, NV. My husband spent mnay a summer on his Uncles ranch, but would rather do than teach. Raised a city girl who is now in her 50's, I simply don't know where to start. I am an open book waiting for my pages to be written on. Help! Can't wait to join the sisterhood. Any chapters in my area?

Posted - Jul 03 2011 : 7:28:25 PM Welcome from another former city girl---though I have not really done much actual "farming"...my heart is there and it is all in the attitude as they say! if you are looking for some inspiration, I would highly recommend you take a look at Maryjane's books! I found them at the local library and then ended up buying 3 of them! They are so lovely just to look at and do give nice ideas and guidance on the little steps we can take to live a more simply, healthful life Looking forward to getting to know you here!

Posted - Jul 01 2011 : 06:47:33 AM Welcome Anne - How exciting!!! I too came to this life without growing up on a farm but in the heart of Denver, CO... When my husband passed some 15 years ago I purchased this farm and started the learning process. I raised my two son here and have learned a lot. Know that this sight will be of great help, support and that we are all wanting the best for those who ask... Congrat's on your new adventure. Love and light to you and your husband and if I can be of any assistance just ask...
