Am I so ever greatful to find all you farmgirls. While I only live 8 feet in to the country we do have chickens and a turkey along with all our other rare pets. Ok on to why I am here. My father passed last month and I have been given everything that had to do with my granparents. I have quilts tops that are just waiting to be finished, dolies that need cleaning, button tins, family photos that need tending too. Me I can sew but not real well, I made my daughters curtians but used a machine. I have family hand sew hard work that needs to be finished by my hands or my daughters. Any and all help would be greatful. I also have a large herb garden that I love new ideas in using my little treasures.

A little love on any project can make things happen.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. If you don't see me for some days I could be under mountains of boxes. Hidden in a corner with tea cups, photos, items I need to find just what they are. Good thing the sewing stuff was almost all together.

Hi Jennifer,
Sorry to hear about your loss. Welcome aboard and I think it's great you want to finish those quilt tops. I admire anyone who quilts. I sew, but I do not quilt.
It will be great to see finished products.

love, janet

I am sorry about your father. As these women have said - this is the place to find friendship and a good listening ear. Think of all of the talent you'll be developing finishing up the work of your grandparents! The best thing is, that as you work onthem a little piece of you will be in the work and that will be a treasure to pass on to your daughters.
Glad you found us!!

Hi, Jennifer. My condolences on the loss of your dear father. I love to craft things with herbs and would be happy to share ideas with you if you let me know what herbs you have. They are very easy to dry and use in lots of things. Best wishes and welcome! Judy
