Posted - Mar 08 2011 : 8:27:56 PM Hi - My name is Brooke and I'm new here. Just wanted to say hello and that I'm excited to be here. My mother-in-law uses this site quite a bit and recommended it.
I'm a relatively new mom (little one is 11 months) and I also work full-time. I've been working on finding a way to work part-time and stay home a bit more with the little one. So far, I've not figured it out.
I also sew and do a bit of writing in my free time. I'd love for you all to check out my blog and give me your perspective on if the blog is any good... relevant topics, decent writing, etc. And feel free to follow my blog if you like it :-)
You can check it out at beingbrookefrances.blogspot.com
I'm looking forward to connecting with some new people!

Welcome to the Farmgirl connection. Is Grace your MIL? So glad you have joined us here. I know how hard it is to juggle a baby and work and try to squeeze some "you" time into the mix.

Posted - Mar 09 2011 : 07:34:14 AM Welcome to MJF, am sure you'll love it here!
I checked out your blog and I think it's pretty. Also, your posts are nice, long and from the heart. Congrats on being a Mom of Sweet Pea, too - enjoy'em as they grow so fast.
Kudo's to your for using cloth diapers. I did with my two kids and reveled in how my using them was saving money, being good to Momma Nature and only having diaper rash once between two kids. My DD still remembers the plastic pants.
I truly feel for you in your heart being pulled two ways between family and where you're living. I have no answer. It's even harder when each persons family is clustered in virtually the same area (state, or wherever) yet many states apart. You love them both but just can't find that happy medium.......
Hubby and I would love to move out west, but our families live mainly here in Ohio. And my parents health is not the best, just to add more indecision to the mix.
Also, I checked out Spoon Flower web site and I had to make myself click out of it. I sew, and although I am not a self confessed fabriholic, the idea of designing my own knits appeal the dickens out of me. It sure is hard to say no to the fabric.........
Anyhoot, enjoy your stay with us!
