Posted - Jun 15 2006 : 4:49:50 PM Hey all. I'm a new Tennesseean; moved here from Florida last year. We've got big dreams of country life but even bigger goals to "bloom where we're planted". I garden, keep city chickens, love to work on being frugal, talk about Dave Ramsey and living debt free as much as I can (see www.sixredheads.com), wear an apron every day, and am absolutely passionate about eating seasonally and locally. I want to promote sustainable living and agrarian life in different settings. Next week we're moving from our rental in town to a house next to, but not including, country acreage, the end of a long year and journey. I'm not sure how "farmish" it's going to be right away but it's kind of in a pocket that time (and Walmart) have forgotten. Anyhooooo..... I"m a mom to 4, we life-educate/homeschool.....not sure what else to say in way of an intro but that I'm happy to be here!!!!
But the dreamers of the day are dangerous people because they enact their dreams into reality with eyes wide open. |
