Hello all!!! Just wanted to introduce myself...my name is Siena and I'm from Hollywood CA. I am an actress but on the side I am a farmgirl. I grow strawberries, and peaches while canning my own fruit and selling pies. Here are my stats:

22 yrs old
graduated from Yale with a degree in French Translation and Italian
Favorite crop: peaches (you can put them in anything and it tastes marvelous!)

I love this forum and hope to get to know you all a lot better!

Sincerely,
Siena

Hi Siena - tell us all about your acting career! Wow, an actress and a farmgirl - a good combination! Is it nice and sunny in Cali? We have had monsoon season in NJ for what seems like weeks!

Welcome to the forum Siena! It sounds like things are going "peachy-keen" for you out in California!! I can feel the excitement you have for being a farmgirl come right through your post. You will love it here!!

Bonjour, Siena! I took a couple of years of high school French about 35 years ago, have married a French man and now live primarily in the south of France. Boy could I use your talents here and now! Although we have lots of orchards and farms nearby for great produce, I envy you your obviously hospitable soil; my first attempt at plunging my shovel into the ground resembled the cartoon character who attempts to do the same, only hits apparent rock and first the shovel begins, and then he joins in the vibrating dance. Not to be outdone by a piece of unfriendly terra firma (firma for SURE), I have started a little compost pile! Welcome and I look forward to getting to know you better!

Welcome Siena..what a pretty name!...you are gonna love it here. Peaches are one of my favorite fruits..and peach pie is the best! My little peach tree will hopefully be big enough to produce some here this year...not much yet though...it is still little. I grew up in Calif (on the central coast) and sure do miss the strawberries!!
It will be fun to get to know you here...welcome to the family!!
