Posted - Sep 14 2010 : 2:49:53 PM What a joy it is to find like-minded women who obviously enjoy the country as much as I do! We have recently moved to our little 6 acre piece of heaven in the Texas Hill Country. There's lots of work to be done, but I look forward to every bit!
My first big project is an "outdoor bathing" area hidden in the woods. Yes, I got my inspiration from MJF. |

Posted - Sep 17 2010 : 6:52:20 PM Just noticed the out door bathing statement. At the place we go riding in Bastrop the Happy Horse Hotel has outdoor showers. I really loved that. Only down side was the dive bombing june bugs. If I ever get my own place I will have outside showers and hopefully a bath. If you want to know how the did it I can send you info.

Welcome.
I loved the outside bath idea. I am sure it wouldn't go well in the HOA that I live in. LOL

Posted - Sep 17 2010 : 07:18:11 AM Hi from Houston. Are you anywhere close to Bastrop. We occasionally take our horses up there to a place called the Happy Horse Hotel. It is just beside the McKinney Roughs. I love the Hill country and hope to have a place up there some time soon. Welcome to MJF.

Posted - Sep 15 2010 : 7:46:04 PM Hi Cindy Welcome! I lived in Kerrville/Ingram for 12 years and call it my second home. I now live in Christoval, Tx about 20 miles south of San Angelo. I have live oaks and hills here but still not as pretty as the hill country. I still have lots of good friends down there and hope to chat with you on here as well. Everyone on here is extra special. I'm new to this group as well, but am thoroughly enjoying myself on here. Terri

Posted - Sep 15 2010 : 1:34:21 PM Welcome to the Farmgirl Connection. I'm kind of jealous -- the Hill Country has got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. I hope you enjoy it here.

Posted - Sep 14 2010 : 7:28:50 PM Hey Cindy. Welcome from Georgia. There's always work to be done on a farm. It never ends. I was just outside tonight fixing a fence to keep my cowgirls in. Always something to do around here.
