Hey girls!
My name is Michelle and I am in Albuquerque, NM. I grew up in the country in Upstate NY, near Ithaca and moved to NM when I was 17. I met my husband here and he joined the army, moving us to Manhattan, KS. I was real excited about that, because the town was similar to what I grew up in. I thought of myself, then, as a "city girl" and quickly "remembered" why I left the small town life. Now that I am back in the city, I am feeling quite homesick for the small, simple life again. The other day, I stumbled upon MaryJane's magazine. I grabbed it right up really for the reason that it said "everday organic on a budget". I did not realize that this magazine that I would from cover to cover without skipping anything in the middle, for the first time in my life. It brought me back to my roots. It reminded me of the time I spent with my grandma in her gardens and canning and making bread fresh every day. It reminded me of what we should all be reminded of: hard work, simple things and great times. Thank you Mary Jane and everyone who made the magazine able to jump out at me. I really look forward to meeting many new people and sharing stories, tips and love.

Welcome Michelle!!
I have relatives (older great aunts in their late 80's and some cousins too) in Albuquerque and near there. I have never been there myself but they used to always come to visit us when I was a kid and we keep in touch.
Isn't MaryJane such an inspriration!! I am glad you found us!!

Welcome Michelle! I had the same experience last year with MaryJane's magazine. This forum has given me new insight on leading a simpler life and I am very grateful for that. I know you will be right at home here- these women are wonderful.
