I am the one who grew up and went to school in Collins, Missouri. I am not aware of any Farmgirl members in the area currently but I still know people around there and Weaubleau. I know some who are just farmgirls. I went to high school at Weaubleau for 2 1/2 years and just attended my class' 35 class reunion this summer. My parents were tenant farmers and we lived on a 400 acre farm west of Collins on Highway V near the Sac River. I attended Pleasant Valley Christian Church which is no longer there and we had a little store called Raney Store which is no longer there, either. I have an ancestorial connection to the area from the mid-1800's. In fact, my chance we ended up on the farm my great-grandmother lived and worked for the family when she was about 19.

Thank You ladies for the BIG welcome! It sure makes you feel warm and invited!
I came from Southern California to the Bolivar/Collins area of Missouri because my husband and I found a 30 acre farm we just love. It took 6 years of looking in 10 States for us to find what we wanted...so for thoughs still looking hang in there, you'll know when the right one comes along.
I love to garden, quilt, and generaly do all that goes with living this life. I grew up with a grandmother, in Pennsylvania, teaching me all she could about living this way, and feel blessed for it. The funny thing is: She belonged to a "Club" of ladies much like this who did similar things. She grew up in Missouri until age 11/12 so this is, in some way, a full circle.
I know one of the ladies here mentioned she grew up in this area, if you make it back here feel free to get in touch to come visit our place, or if you know any other Farmgirls in the area here please let them know I'm here.
