Posted - May 05 2006 : 07:01:42 AM Hello everyone! I found this site by checking out Mary Jane's book at the libray. What an awesome book and site! I have dreamed for a long while about having my own lil farm with a milk cow, goats, making soap and the like. I look forward to reading all the posts. I forgot to say that I grew up on a farm too. Once it gets in your blood it's there to stay.

Posted - May 08 2006 : 12:06:46 PM Welcome Sarah! From one Missourian to another. I'm glad you found your niche on the web by finding the Mary Janes Farmgirl Connection. You are going to love it here, especially since you were raised on a farm, it will be like going back home.
I see you say you live 90 miles south of IA, how far north of St. Louis is that? That's where I live. I'm one of the gals this site gives comfort to; as I live in the city and long for the farm.
Can't wait to hear more from you and get to know you even better. Welcome, again, this will be fun! Blessings on your day.

Posted - May 05 2006 : 4:14:58 PM Welcome Sarah!
It is definitely nice to find a place like this on the web! I've enjoyed my own little stay so far as I've only been checking out the site for the last month myself. Although I have never lived on a farm, I find the company of "farmgirls" and "farmboys" to be way above par! I'm learning a lot and enjoying a lot from this site.
Have a great day! Emily
