Hi, everyone! Just wished to introduce myself. My name is Carol and I live on the wet side of Washington State.... but it's absolutely beautiful here, today... so far...

I'm an empty nester and have two kids that have flown the coop! Our oldest (daughter) has blessed us with three grandbabies and our son is just finding his way out there in the wide, wide world (21 y.o.). They don't live too close, but close enough... if you know what I mean!

We moved to the country a year ago this month. We live on 3+ acres of wild forest. I'm trying my best to eliminate the lawn that was here when we moved in. Beating back the blackberries and planting native plants.

We only have a dog as livestock!! She's 14+ years old and has cancer, so won't be with us too terribly much longer... but she's teaching me contentment and unconditional love. Other than Sheba dog, we "own" many wild birds and several noisy Stellar Blue Jays. There's a pair of nesting Red Tailed Hawks that soar above our property regularly and I love to imagine that type of freedom..... wow! When we opened up the storage shed in back, my hubby was met by several wood rats! Ewwwwww! Any ideas? Hoping the neighbor's cat will catch them, but he seems to be more interested in the birds at the feeder!

Well, I'm rambling. I sew, knit, make music and surf the net. Hope to get to know y'all!

P.S. I'll try to figure out how to make my signature font small, but I'm not sure I'm savy enough.... time will tell.

~Carol~

Welcome Carol,

Your property sounds beautiful. What kind of music do you like to make?
