Posted - May 05 2006 : 6:14:08 PM Welcome new ladies! I am pretty new too, but as far as I am concerned this is just the best little place on the World Wide Web! It is so nice to have a place to share the homey things. Too bad more of the world isn't like us....wanting to garden, cook, hug and love our kids, 2 legged and 4 legged! We would have a better world. Love and light to you all ~Kate |

Posted - May 05 2006 : 4:12:01 PM (I've been bad at not welcoming people since I joined in the last month. . . I'm turning over a new leaf today!)
Welcome Darlene! I don't live on a farm, but I love farmers and farms! I'm from NC, and I have a little garden spot to call my own (that my husband wants nothing to do with - so it truly is my own). And the only 'animals' I have are two little preschooler 'puppies' (boys, really, haha) and another baby on the way. I also love to cook and prepare fresh, homemade foods and enjoy the great outdoors.
I'll have to check out your ebay stuff!

Posted - May 04 2006 : 07:54:44 AM Thank's for the warm welcome girls.I am not very experienced at this sort of communication so bare with me. I am the mother of three beautiful children, all of which are grown now.My oldest daughter lives very near me,is the mother of four, and shares my love for country life.My son lives in the country in south Georgia and owns his own business,is married with one son.My baby child is a daughter 22 and she moved to Florida last Sept. She is enjoying living in a city for now but I no doubt she will return to her country roots.I am single now after being married several times the longest of which was 22 years to my childrens father.I now live in the mountians of North Carolina on several acres.I work in retail sales ,love to garden, have most likley done every craft known to man.I would love to do more with the land I live on as far as food crops and fruit trees. You girls and this group of people are an inspiration to me.The last few years have been rather hard but I read about all of your accomplishmens and I feel encouraged. Thanks,Grits

WHAT! No pea fowl, sheep or cows??
Are you kept by meat goats or dairy goats? We have a couple Jerseys but are looking into sheep and/or goat for meat.
