Hello everyone!

I am writing from the city of Manchester, NH. I've lived in suburban, NH, rural, NH and deep woods, NH on and off for the past six years and I find that I am most comfortable stradling the line between all three. At last, however, the city girl in me seems to be wanting a change, and having recently had a daughter, I feel that living closer to the land is once again my calling.

I am in my early 30s and stay at home with my daughter, I babysit to make ends meet and I ply my wares as an herbalist, giving workshops and formulating products for women in the childbearing year, and for infants and children.

On the flip side, I am in a Gothic Doom-Metal band called Eternal Embrace and play keyboard and manage the band. I like to get involved in charity events to raise money and awareness through the arts.

I sew, I am learning to knit, I love to cook and make homemade, slow cooked meals for my family, I love tending to my herb garden on the porch and reading.

I look forward to meeting others and learning more about the farmgirl life and getting to know the farmgirl in me.

Hi Eleanor!

Welcome to the group! I live in Northeast PA now, but used to live in Vermont and spent a lot of time in Manchester, NH. Wish I could remember the name of the theater we used to go to - we saw a lot of good shows there. I still have a dear friend who lives up in Campton, just outside of Plymouth.

Hey thanks!! My daughter is 20 months. I have alot of energy and it's well needed for all the things I want to do :) I think my daughter will be a musician someday too, she loves to play drums and dance and loves listening to Sarah Brightman.

Howdy Eleanor. A big Farmgal hug to ya. Wow! You do keep busy. How old is your little girl? I'm big into herbs too. I've used them all my life. And Music...ahhhh...that's something my mother instilled into my sister and I when we were born. She and her brothers got together as often as possible on each others back porches just to play and sing. I love to sing and sis can play just about any wind-instrument you hand her. I love to cook and bake too. There's nothing like home-made.You'll fit right in here...you've got that big "Farmgal-wanna-be" Heart! Welcome!
