Hi Everyone,
My name is Teddie. Found this site a few days ago. After reading some of the posts on sewing I felt the urge to join. I'm not very good @ "computer things" so bear with me.
First I have to confess I'm a farmgirl wanna-be. The closest I've come to living on a farm is suburbia. (dh and my daddy were raised on farms if that helps). I love outdoors, and animals. I'd move on a farm in a minute if offered. I enjoy sewing, embroidery, and have just started quilting.
I'm a nurse for my day job. At home I'm Mom to 2 cats. Polly, an 11 yr old calico and Seabiscuit who is almost 1 yr. Seabiscuit just recently moved in. His "daddy" my son left him here when he joined the Air force. I have 4 grown sons 21-28. 3 are in military (2 Air Force and one Army) the other son is a computer networker.
Hope to talk to you soon and share some good tips and funny stories.

Welcome Teddie,
I also have three sons 25, 22, & 18. The two older ones are in the Army. 22 year old is presently in Iraq and the 25 year old will finish boot camp on the 14th of April, then to CA. and off to Irqa by late 2006 or early 2007. Looks like the youngest one will be following suit. I also have 2 daughters. One of who came very close to the Air Force but fell in love two months before she planned on going. This is a great forum and site you'll love it here. I too grow up in suburbia and the closest I came to farm life was an old farm house to remodel and a huge garden but I love the outdoors, dirt, bugs and planting. WELCOME!!!!

Pray for our troops to come home safe and soon.
Enjoying the road to the simple life :>)

Welcome Teddie! I grew up in Carrollton! How long have you been there? I was so delighted to see your post. I, too, am more of a wanna-be than a true-blue farmgirl, but I do dapple in some of the finer qualities of farm life. I love Carrollton and still enjoy seeing all the farmland in the county...although more and more of it is disappearing (like everywhere else). There's a lot of information and experience on this forum. Keeps my dream alive to be a part of this group. You'll enjoy visiting here. Only limited computer skills required..believe me!

Welcome Teddy! Many of us are or started out as wanna be Farmgirls. The Farmgirl Connection is full of a great bunch of friends. They all have lots to share, and are open and excepting who can't wait to get to know you.

Not how long, but how well you have lived is the main thing.

Good Morning, Teddie!

No one just finds this site.....you are divinely led here!! So glad you joined in!

First, much heartfelt appreciation for you and your family for serving our country. My family will be praying for y'all.

With all your stitching skills, you will never be without a project around here. There are swaps and round-robins and ideas galore! This site has become like required homework for me. when I'm working on something I tell my family, "I need to finish this, it's for the farmgirls"

Share more of your stories with us!

Blessings
