Hi all! I have just signed up and am looking forward to what's to come through this connection! I have also joined the mail art group and can't want to get my creative piece in the mail. Today is also my birthday (I'm now 33 years old - Yikes!), so this is a wonderful way to make some new friends!

Welcome and happy belated birthday!
I've still got 13 years before 33, but I'm looking forward to every minute! I'm jealous because some of you older farmgirls have more energy than I do! I think with age comes beauty and wisdom and there is so much of that here. This site has inspired in me so many new craft projects! I'm happy to say that I completed my first embroidery project today! A doll apron! Very small, but so much fun! I'm not sure I did it entirely right, but you've gotta start somewhere!

Much love,
Laura

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome! I must say since I live among the hustle and bustle of the city I don't have a farm, but I dream of slowing the pace and having more time for things like canning, baking, gardening, crafts, etc...one day.

Some things I manange to fit in my life right now are taking care of my 3 cats and husband, antiquing, card making, cross-stitch and cooking (though I'm not nearly as good as my mom - she's chinese!). One thing I really want to do one day is have a booth at a local arts and crafts fair.

Ever since I can remember I have always loved creating things. That's what intrigued me to this site-I love the creative, handmade projects everyone is involved in and I can't wait really dig in and find some interesting, new things to try and get involved in.

Powder Springs is west of downtown Atlanta and probably less than an hour or so to Acworth. Some time this year, my husband and I will be moving in closer to the city probably north of Atlanta to cut down our commute times to work. I hoping that I will no longer have to sit in traffic and have more to do things at home. That's my plan!

Happy Birthday! And welcome to the Farm! You'll love everyone here - I do! Please don't fret about your age...I'll be 30 this year, and can't wait. I truly believe it only gets better as you get older!

Happy Birthday Cathy!!!!!

33 was just 5 years ago for me. Once I hit 30 the years just zoom past. Well, actually, before then.....when I had kids the years zoomed past.

You will have an absolutely great time connecting with all these farmgals. They are great....so friendly, encouraging and best of all FUNNY!!

I look forward to chatting with you!

Blessings

Hi Cathy,

Happy Birthday!! Welcome. Is Powder Springs anywhere near Ackworth? That's where my farmgirl junior (daughter) lives. Once she moves here - I'm gonna get her hooked up with the farmgirls.
