Hello to fellow Farmgirls! I'm Missy in NE Alabama, wife to my best friend Eric and momma to 5 kids...plus mom to my cows, goats, chickens, horse, corgi dog and beagle dog. Better late than never stumbling onto the Farmgirl scene!! I'd love to meet local farmgals and ones from all over the place.

IT IS AN ADVENTURE FOR SURE,I CANT IMAGINE LIFE WITH OUT THEM. I AM JUST ENTERING THE TEEN YEARS. MY OLDEST SOME,LUKE, TURNS 13 NEXT MONTH . IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE. MY NEXT IS 10,THEN 8, THEN 6 AND TESS IS 4. SHE IS A JOY, SHE IS A LITTLE GIRL WHO LOVES LIFE. WHAT I LOVE IT THAT SHE WANTS TO BE A "MARY JANE " IT IS SO CUTE WHEN SHE SAYS IT. HER COWBOYS BOOTS ARE FARMGIRL BOOTS TOO NOT COWGIRL BOOTS. THERE IS ALWAYS SOMETHING GOING ON IN OUR HOUSE AND IT IS RARLEY QUIET, BUT THAT IS OK BECAUSE IT MAKES ME APPRECIATE THE QUIET SO MUCH MORE. THANKS FOR YOU MESSAGE, BE IN TOUCH ! NICKI

Thank you for the warm welcome Melissa....we have another thing in common ...Missy is short for Melissa here LOL.
Bunnies are something else we are wanting to add to the farm, but trying to wait for a barn so we have a better place to keep them. The shed and lean-tos don't see to do too well.

Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!

I do love it here, though it took some adjusting since it wasn't like "my" small hometown. I love going to the Lake year-round. We also raft down Terrapin creek when we get the chance. You should let me know if you ever come back over this way...I'm only 15 minutes from the nearest part of the lake to me..with 30 minutes at the most to reach any part of it...And it DEFINATELY isn't metro Atlanta

Take care and have a great day,

I know what you mean about the South being home. I was born in Calif. but have lived in Ga. most of my life. Here for 30 years now.

I've been to Weiss Lake. It's beautiful there.

See ya, Kris

Thank you Jami! You live in a beautiful part of the country! I spent 3 years living in Oregon and did some exploring up thru Washington...but the South just called me home

Oh how funny..you were the first profile I had clicked on 30 minutes ago before I made my intro post!! How cool that you were the first to reply.
I used to be over in Georgia myself...born and raised there..first in Sandersville then up in Powder Springs, had to go to high school in the metro Atlanta area LOL.
Well, I'd trade the horse for a few pigs myself, but my 13 year old girl loves that stubborn horse. I'm hoping we can add pigs in the next year or two. We need a barn badly. I do have one cat out and about right now, down very much from a peak of 16 kitties roaming the place <smile>. We have 6 acres over here just under Weiss Lake, and also use pasture of 4 acres over at my in-laws house about 5 miles down the road.
Very nice to meet you!

Hello Missy. I'm just over the "hill" in Chatt. valley. I live about 25 miles N. of Chatt. Tn. Sounds like my place except for the horse and add a few pigs and a pascel of cats.

Glad your here and look forward to hearing more about you.

Kris
